Wildwood is proud to partner with the Tennessee Environmental Council again and take part in the nation’s largest single-day Tree Planting event. If you went online and ordered your free Trees before March 1 and selected Wildwood as your pickup location, we will have your saplings ready to pickup at Wildwood on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th. If you stop by on Saturday, please join us for our annual Volunteer Adopt-a-Stream River Cleanup day.

River Cleanup

Last year, despite a gloomy forecast, many hearty souls showed up at Wildwood, fanned out over a 1 mile stretch of the river that we claimed as part of the Cumberland River Compact’s Adopt-a-Stream project, and picked up no fewer than 100 bags of garbage along the shoreline, a hot water heater, several old tires and much more. TRASH GONE!

Wildwood won the 2018 Cumberland River Compact award for the “Most Volunteers” in the Adopt-a-Stream program and in 2019 we won the award for the “Most Trash Removed”.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Volunteers will be treated to a light lunch and beverages. We’ll have trash bags, plastic gloves and everything you’ll need.
