Wildwood Adopt-a-Stream River Cleanup and Open House – Postponed to March 23rd

Back by popular demand, our mid-winter Adopt-a-Stream River Bank Clean-up and Open House is coming up on March, 23rd, 2019.

Did you know that Wildwood will be named the 2018 winner for MOST VOLUNTEERS across Middle Tennessee in the Cumberland River Compact’s (CRC) Adopt-a-Stream program? It’s true! The prize will be awarded at CRC’s awards celebration in downtown Nashville on Wednesday February 27th, 2019.

Want to joint the celebration? Contact: natasha@wildwoodresorttn.com and we will be sure that your name is on the guest list for this big event!

On what looked like another rainy February day in 2018, Wildwood Resort and Marina hosted our very FIRST annual Adopt-a-Stream River Bank Cleanup and Open House.

Despite a gloomy forecast, SIXTY hearty souls showed up at Wildwood, fanned out over a 1 mile stretch of the river that we claimed as part of the Cumberland River Compact’s Adopt-a-Stream project, and picked up no fewer than 100 bags of garbage along the shoreline. TRASH GONE!

Volunteers celebrated with hot chili and drinks at Timberloft Lakeside, heard a talk on the quality of river life on this stretch of the Cumberland, and shared Wildwood’s development plans for the 2018 season, including renovation of the Wildwood Lodge and the introduction of our 2018 “Newbird on the Water” singer/songwriter series. We all now know how that turned out!

The rain that weekend never materialized, and a truly wonderful time was had by all!

Please join us for the 2nd Annual River Bank Cleanup and Open House on March 23rd! You must RSVP below to reserve a hot lunch and Wildwood swag.
