Let Summer Begin

Issue: May 25, 2021

Shades of Green

¬†Buds are becoming colorful blooms. The flock of Canada Goose that flew in this spring all have baby goslings floating with them now.¬†The light shade of green in the trees around Wildwood has finally faded¬†into a beautiful¬†dark summer canopy.¬†The lake water temps are just perfect for a day of¬†kayaking¬†and¬†tubing behind a pontoon. It feels like¬†summer has arrived and it couldn’t have found us a day¬†too soon.¬†¬†

23rd Annual Historic Heritage Day

Memorial day weekend is the official kick-off for the summer season at Wildwood and how perfect that¬†it coincides with the¬†Annual Heritage day festival¬†in Granville.¬†All-day and evening on the 29th¬†Granville will be bustling with a bluegrass festival, antique car and tractor show, artisan craft booths, a parade, I love Lucy museum tours, historic boat rides, magicians and so much more fun.¬†This Saturday as well as every weekend¬†during the summer¬†Sutton’s General store¬†in Granville also hosts a¬†bluegrass concert¬†that is broadcast live over the radio.¬†You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time to the original Grand Ol’ Opry.

(Wildwood is donating five percent (5%) of proceeds this day to Historic Granville, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to preserving the history of our town.)
