Most Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer there is live music at the Lakeside Restaurant or on the grounds at Wildwood. On Friday a little karaoke fun often gets mixed in. Take a look at our Entertainment Calendar for the most up-to-date events. Every Saturday TB Sutton’s General Store (1 mile from Wildwood) hosts a live radio broadcasted bluegrass concert that will make you feel like you’ve stepped on the stage of the original Grand Ol’ Opry.
You bet! From craft beer to fine wine, from martinis to margaritas, we have it all. The Lakeside bar has happy hour specials every Wednesday and Thursday. On select dates, our mixologists also host Cocktail Creation Classes where you can learn and taste the art of crafting a variety of drinks. Check our Events Calendar.

Lodging
There is a little market and gas station less than a mile away in Granville called Lakeside General Store. Just turn left at our entrance and it will be on the right. Miss Sallie’s Market in Gainesboro (10 miles) has everything you need, including pre-made meals, a fabulous salad bar, dry goods, local veggies and homemade bread. There is also a Walmart Super-center just 13 miles away in Carthage. The address is 125 Myers Street.
Wildwood is now a four-season resort, though we do scale down our lodging and restaurant and cafe’ hours in the winter. Beginning November 1, the Airstreams will be winterized and will no longer be available until the spring.
Our hospitality staff will have your accommodations ready by 3:00. You are welcome to arrive a little early and enjoy the grounds, but we can’t guarantee that your room will be available until 3:00. Check out is 11:00 AM.
Hold on.. this list could get quite long 🙂
Rent a pontoon, play bocce ball on our new court, savor an evening fire at one of our pits, fire up a charcoal grill, play horseshoes up in the Woods, start up a game of ping pong by the pergola, we have corn hole, tetherball, and other yard games, rent a canoe, kayak or paddleboard, go fishing off the boardwalk, there’s live music most Friday and Saturday nights, have a professional massage, sign up for a sunset pontoon cruise or one of other charted pontoon boat excursions….. and that is just here at Wildwood. If you want to meander down the road – you’ll have to visit Historic Granville and if you want to keep on going along our country roads and discover some more adventures – here’s a page to stimulate your imagination.

YES! It has taken us some time to get all the boosters and antennas working properly, but you should find highspeed access in all our accommodations and most of the campus. Verizon cell service is still limited in the area and most guests use wifi calling instead, but there is a cell extender in the Holston Cafe’ and Lakeside Restaurant that gives you four bars if needed. The town of Granville also has the same Verizon booster too.
For your safety, the gas stoves in the Airstream campers have been disabled. However, there are standup charcoal grills outside for you to use. Each camper also has a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and refrigerator.
Most certainly!! We have a lovely transient dock with power if needed. Rates begin at $1.50 a foot and can go up to $4 depending on the size and needs (covered vs uncovered, shore power vs no power).
We are off the beaten path and WE LOVE IT and there is just one bar of verizon signal that makes it over the hills and down to the marina but we have a booster!! If you need to connect via cell/verizon, just come around the Holston Cafe’ or Lakeside Restaurant and you’ll have 4 bars. If you are out on the water, please keep the lack of cell service in mind.
Most certainly. You’ll only need your room information and an ID. When checking out you’ll only have one invoice to sign.
Yes. There is one room in our new Inn as well as one of the lakeside cabins that are ADA compliant. If you would like to reserve one of these accommodations, please call our concierge desk at (931) 653-4360
Marina
There are couple things to keep in mind. You’ll require a lock through the Cordell Hull Lock and Dam, please note that an advance reservation is required. Call the Cordell Hull Lock Dockmaster at (615) 735-1040 to schedule. The minimum approach depth is 15′ and the minimum channel depth is 40′. You can reach us via VHF Ch 16. Give us a call via VHF or (931) 653-4360 and let us know you are on the way so we can have someone ready to assist you. Our dock is full service with gas, diesel, pump-out, water and wifi. Hopefully, you can stay a night or two with us. Check-in at the ship store to arrange for overnight docking.
Rental boat cancellations due to bad weather are at the discretion of the safety team and the dock manager. If the weather is not suitable for rental the customer will not be charged and is encouraged to make a future reservation.
If the customer cancels a reservation within 24 hours due to their perception of the weather forecast and without being notified by Wildwood, they will be charged a $150 cancellation fee though this can be applied to a future rental within the same calendar year.
All other (non-weather) Cancellations: To avoid a cancellation fee the customer must provide a 72-hour notice.
Yes and No. There is no fee to use the ramp, but there is a small fee to use the 32 boat parking spaces. If you are a guest of Wildwood, this fee is included with your stay. If you aren’t an overnight guest and want to park your boat trailer, please visit the concierge desk and purchase either a $5 sticker good for the day or purchase a yearly pass for $50.
Someone driving has to have been born before 1/1/1989. If the driver isn’t born before 1/1/89, they have to be at least 21 years of age with a boating license to drive/rent.
Two-person tube rentals are $25. We have a four-person tube that is only available with the Misty Harbor Tritoon (because of the higher horsepower) which is $50 to rent and the Lily Pads are $50.
Our boats have a weight limit of 1820 lbs, which includes passengers, coolers, equipment etc. On average 10-12 people will work on both our Sweetwater and Misty Harbor boats. The age or size of the person on the boat doesn’t affect the number of people who can be on the boat. We provide all the adult life vests though we don’t have any for children under 50lbs. If you have a child under 50lbs, you must provide your own.
If you are renting one of our pontoons with a 150HP motor, at 3/4 throttle it will take about 30 minutes, but count on an hour…. because you’ll have to stop to photograph an eagle or jump in the water in one of the coves to cool off. It’s easy to get there, but we have maps of the river/lake with channel markers that we’ll give you when you head out.
Sure do. This section of the Cumberland River/Cordell Hull Lake is filled with great catches. The Walmart in Carthage is easiest stop on your way in if you want to pick up a 1-3 day license. You can also purchase and print them online via https://license.gooutdoorstennessee.com/Licensing/CustomerLookup.aspx
Unfortunately, the answer is no, however you can fish from the boardwalk (but not at the sunset pavilion). All the water inside the marina buoy area is off limit from fishing, even if you are on a boat.
Please do! You can easily launch them at our boat ramp or at the beach area next to our Kayak barn. If you would like to store your Kayaks in the barn during your stay, just speak with someone in concierge.
Who could say no to that? They just love the wind in their nose. There is a $75 non-refundable charge per four-legged family member (2 max), however, pets are only permitted on our Sweetwater Tritoons and not the Misty Harbor. When you call to make a reservation, just ask for a pet-friendly boat.
